There's political intrigue a'plenty as the Armorines return from their mission in space begun during The Chaos Effect. Because of Gunny's actions in space, there are some who would like to see him relieved from field command of the Armorines. While the team is on leave recovering from their outer space experience, Sirot is sent on a secret mission the rest of the Armorines aren't privy to. One has got to guess that Sirot is, once again, involved in some dirty tricks for his rogue government operation.
