Thanks to artful negotiating by the Scarlet Witch, Force Works avoids a confrontation with Black Brigade and instead receives an audience with the ruling council of Slorenia! The governing body wants FW to capture Ember, the rebels' most powerful freedom fighter! Wanda concurs with that plan, but remains suspicious about the motives of the Slorenian leaders. A few hours later, Force Works tracks Ember to an abandoned palace outside the capital city and invites Black Brigade to help them! However, this is where the new team gets a lesson in meddling in the affairs of foreign countries! What should just be one battle turns into a double donnybrook! Shell-head, Century, and Spider-Woman vs. Black Brigade; and the Scarlet Witch and U.S. Agent vs. Ember! Will Force Works be able to extricate themselves from the Slorenian crisis? Or will they just sink further into the Baltic quagmire? Cameo appearances by Captain America and the Recorder.
